"This is a large hotel with several food and beverage options. I booked here for the proximity to the Peabody since i didn't want to drive home (>an hour) after the show. It was a very short and safe walk. We had hoped to dine at the steak house before the show, but it was packed. Reservations strongly recommended. We ate at the sports bar and it was still happy hour, so no complaints. "

"As long as you avoid their restaurant and horrible attempt at Starbucks, the Shores is a great place to stay. The only problem in the rooms was the way overly intense deodorizer used in the hallways. Beautiful ocean view abd patio."

"Place is great! I’ve always stayed at Max’s when I go to Daytona! But they’ve change staff and this particular staff member at the front desk wasn’t too friendly the day of check in! I strongly believe that the first impression is very important for the hotel value and stay recommendations!!! I missed Mrs Wanda that used to be there before!! Very friendly and kind.. And would address your needs if any came up!"

"Very large and comfortable room. Located right on the ocean. If there was not a wind we could probably throw a rock from our balcony and hit the water. Very quiet and clean hotel. Nobody ever woke us up we never heard any noise other than the ocean. Keep in mind we were there during speed weeks and the Daytona 500. Convenient to the Speedway. "I loved the property, especially the tiki bar area and hot tub. Hot tub was perfectly located and at a perfect temp. The room was also very clean and nice. Property staff was also great. They were quick to wish you a good morning, afternoon or evening when passing by. My only issue and it is a small one, is the front desk staff. The majority of them had no idea what was going on. "This hotel had a nice view and good for the price, we had a issue with the door our key wouldn’t work had to keep walking to the desk for help getting in our room the entire stay. Needs some renovations definitely but still felt decently clean for a one night stay. Also walls kinda thin our neighbor had the tv blasting very loud all night. Besides this the view made up for it "
