Inn By The Sea La Jolla

3.5 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (1620)
"It is a beautiful family run hotel. Clean with paid parking and a beautiful view. The 24 hour lounge was lovely as was the pool. The staff was attentive and the elevators face the reception desk so I felt quite safe. They even provided loaner umbrellas! The pass for a local gym is included and easily walkable. The guest upstairs unfortunately drove us away early because he was live streaming in the middle of the night and slamming the balcony door. "

The Dextro Hotel, BW Premier Collection

3.0 star property
7.0 out of 10, Good, (1179)
"We enjoyed our stay here for a weekend trip in San Diego. It's conveniently located next to the I-5 freeway so we were able to get around quickly. Our biggest concern was the parking since they only offer valet for $50 each night. While there are free parking spaces around the area, there are a few homeless encampments across the street. We opted for the valet and the attendants, like the rest of the staff, were amazing; it was worth it for our stay. There was some construction going on in the...

"When we arrived at the hotel we got worried that the parking lot looked small but thankfully, we found 2 available spots right away. The reception area was spacious and decent. I was a little disappointed with the front desk employees, though. Both of them didn’t seem friendly and welcoming. I honestly never got a smile from the person who helped us. He had no emotions whatsoever. When I first walked up to him, he just stared at me and waited for me to say what I needed. I’m still thankful...

"The Horton Grand is perfectly located in the Gaslamp district to easily walk all over. Restaurants of all types, bars, Petco Park, the harbour, Little Italy, the cathedral, all places we walked to from the hotel. Great city, friendly people, strong restaurant and bar scene. The hotel is a historic one with a very interesting story and super pretty architecture. They say it's haunted but we had a spook free visit! Can't wait to go back!"
