"Absolutely fantastic hotel in the centre of Salem. We spent 2 nights in December and they had lovely touches such as complimentary coffee in the morning and warm apple cider at night! Loved every second of staying at the hotel. We probably won’t return to Salem (it’s a big world to see) but we will always recommend the Hawthorne hotel to anyone that plans on visiting! Thank you for wonderful memories "

"Our room was well appointed, clean and lovely. The heat was not working properly and it would be morning before it could be fixed. They offered to move us to a junior suite but we declined. "Absolutely loved it here! Aesthetically pleasing. Only a 15-20 min walk to the main attractions Salem has to offer. There’s expansion or phase 2 construction outside the property, so I’m excited to see what that’ll look like. The rooms have a mini fridge but no microwave, but guest are welcome to use the microwave on the floor above check in. Dunkin is right outside along with a convenient store. "
