"On a recent visit to Santa Barbara, we stayed at this moderately priced hotel and were pleasantly surprised by what a great experience it was. The staff were helpful, friendly, and responsive. The facility and grounds are impeccably kept up and clean. Having free on-site parking was a special treat if you travel often to SB - we usually stay downtown, where there are always parking and valet charges.The location is mostly residential, so quiet, but still close to the center city and all the fun...

"The picture shown is not Inn By the Harbor, but their sister property across the street, however, Inn By the Harbor has a much nicer courtyard overlooking the garden and pool whereas the property shown here overlooks the parking lot. Room was somewhat dated but very comfortable bedding and double queen room even has a kitchenette! We enjoyed the wine and cheese served in the lobby for happy hour and had a nice walk to State Street for dinner and walk down to the harbor in the morning. ...

"The stay was great. Close to everything if you like walking and enjoying learning as you explore. This was a little family weekend trip and we went to the zoo, harbor had great seafood and our last day was spent at the mission and shopping. They have great breakfast and happy hour. The staff was friendly with the exception of the manager Sunday morning. I kindly asked if we could check out a little later as we needed a few minutes. He sighed and said it’s fine but make it quick. "
