« Cet hôtel a besoin d’entretient et de rénovations. C’est assez propre mais très vieillot. Ce n’est pas insonorisé. Les gens passent dans le corridor et c’est comme d’ils étaient dans la chambre. L’ameublement est défraîchi. Le petit déjeuner était bon. »

« Très bel endroit, calme et paisible. L’hôtel atypique est très bien situé dans la ville. L’intérieur est très bien décoré. La vue sur la mer et le port est magnifique. On peut également apercevoir le château de Bamburgh. Le petit déjeuner excellent. »

« The dining room decor was amazing taken from the ship Olympic. Linen tablecloths changed after every meal. The staff were friendly and super efficient and the food was excellent. The bedroom decor was tired and room servicing was below par, water glasses not cleaned. The bar staff were not always available and when we went for a nightcap after the theatre the bar was shut at just 10pm »

« Positive feedback… Our evening meal was delicious, breakfast was great & the staff were friendly. Negative. Caught the kitchen staff helping themselves to customers chips once the food has been plated. Our room bed side table was full of biscuits crumbs and a stained coaster. The en-suite bin had the previous guests rubbish in it. »

« A lovely 2 night stay in a country village inn with plenty of parking. We loved the location, our room was clean with a comfy bed, the staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was of good quality. Great for exploring the Northumberland coast, particularly Lindisfarne, Berwick Upon Tweed and Bamburgh Castle - all close by. »

« Ne soyez pas effrayés par la proximité de l'autoroute, une fois dans votre chambre vous n'entendrez plus rien.... Mais vous serez réveillés par les premiers rayons du soleil puisque les fenêtres n'ont pas de rideaux...! L'ensemble de la bâtisse pourrait être très agréable si l'on ne tombait pas sans cesse sur des gravats ou des vieux meubles abandonnés. « A 200 year old pub and inn - interesting ! Unfortunately our room was fairly horrible, we definitely got the hotels.com room : 200 year old mattress, wall view, kitchen vents under the window and lots of noise when we (or the neighbours) ran any water. Food in the evening was good and breakfast ok (very dingy dining room). Everything needs an overhaul. The staff were great though ! »

« Really lovely and cosy hotel in the heart of the town. They thought of everything - even the welcome book that had a history of the building and the local area. It was engaging and fun to take time to read. The facilities were excellent and the breakfast served was tasty and set us up for the day. I would 100% recommend this hotel to everyone. »

« Good location for a stay in Eyemouth. On our first night there was an issue with the heating in our room. When we raised this with Jade it was very quickly resolved with us being moved to a new room. Jade was also very helpful when the circumstances of our stay altered. »

« A beautiful hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Our room (the Bamburgh) was large, bright and very comfortable. There’s a great choice for breakfast and for dinner (with my gluten intolerance catered for brilliantly). The hotel is literally opposite the castle with stunning walks on the doorstep. »

« Unfortunately we were told the chef was on holiday so we couldn’t eat at the Schooner. It would have been nice to know that information so we could make alternative arrangement and not be disappointed when we got there and be inconvenienced by having to go back out. « It was a pleasant stay after visiting Alnwick Gardens. The room was about average size but walk up on third floor. The room was clean and as usual air conditioning was provided by opening the window. Parking is available but not for the faint of heart if you are not used to driving in the UK. Would consider staying there again if we are ever in the area. »
