"Rooms where really clean and staff was very helpful and kind. I love the fact the hotel isn’t in the middle of town. Really easy access to free way and the Bluff/seal sanctuary. I was on the top floor like I request. Close to a shopping center for whatever you need!! I used the UPS store cause I overpacked and had to send my souvenirs home lol Pool was nice and warm even in February and the hot tub was nice. I felt safe and everything went as planned!! "

"Castillo Inn at the Beach was perfect! Exactly the type of hotel/motel I love! One story, quiet courtyard, parking right close to your room. The patio was an added bonus. The front desk manager, Jose, was so welcoming! We loved our stay and would definitely return."

"I booked one night to run the Ventura marathon. I left the room at 4am and my plan was to be back by 10am to shower and do check out. At 4am, I spent 5 minutes pressing the buzz to explain it to the employee in charge. NOBODY came to the window (main door was locked, I assume because of the time) I left a note on a piece of paper explaining my intention to come back along with the keys. I Decided not to come back after I didn't feel helped."

We had at least one toddler (hard to tell after a certain point) that was allowed to RUN & Stomp for hours. This went on late 10/11PM and started up again 7AM. Kept believing it would end. "My husband and I stayed overnight here for the Ventura marathon. While the hotel is undergoing construction (there was absolutely no noise), the outside may not look like much, but the room was just a delight! Absolutely spotless, and more space that it seems at first. It's beautifully decorated and everything was really comfortable and well thought out. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and we'll definitely go back again! Plus, the manager at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. "
