"I was a bit nervous in the days leading up to this stay knowing that it is a hotel without a traditional check in desk (not because I am against this, just if there are issues it could be difficult), and others have had difficulty locating the building. "We missed the turning as postcode didnt take us to the Bothie direct, but as soon as we saw the Laggan Lock sign right by the bus stop we never missed it. The place was easy to get the keys with the key code. The room its self was not like you see in the photos, which looks all cute and colourful.... and also not much room. Saying this the bed was big and so so comfy after walking all day. Their was a small domino stove top, small fridge for the wine and crockery and cup/glasses all was...

"We were made welcome. Our room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was plenty of parking. Although we were not offered any meals at the hotel, the town offers places to eat. The hotel appears to be under new management who are keen to make it a success. From the outside, the hotel is in need of some TLC and we found this off-putting at first. The entrance area was also rather dated. Overall, we were happy with this hotel. "

"The room is very nice but heated up overnight and the controls did not seem to work. The bus service was limited so I had to leave on the first bus to ensure I caught my train. I had been staying in Inverness at a nice B and B earlier for the same cost, very nicely presented, near town and I got breakfast so this had far less going for it."

"Nice clean pub rooms. Small but secure with refurbed bathrooms. Warm and quite comfortable. A pretty standard double bed but still sleep worthy. Staff were very helpful and happy to assist. No lifts as stated but we were able to leave most of our luggage in the car. Dinner is limited as the cook called in sick but there’s a few budget options nearby. Just avoid the kebabs. Great location to visit the Fyrish monument. Value for money this stay. "
