"We LOVE staying at The Hungry Trout! We ski Whiteface at least once a year, and sometimes go up for hiking in warmer months. This is the only place we like to stay. Note: we had a few lightbulbs out in our chandelier in the studio room. Only one complaint: the snow clearing could be improved, especially around the second floor stairway. Excellent location in center of town - easy walk to restaurants, shops, attractions. Free parking (good deal since town has paid parking). Price was competitive for area. Only negative was the lots wasn’t plowed well - lots of deep ruts with ice, slush, hard snow. We will definitely return!!"

"The staff were particularly great with every interaction. The rooms were clean, just worn down and outdated. It's low budget stuff, but still a great value for the money. The mattresses were hard and the pillows pretty thin, but it was a good, safe roof over our heads for the night, especially on a busy weekend where a lot of places really jacked their prices up. Exactly what we needed. "
