"I was a little nervous coming to this property initially after reading some of the online reviews. They have taken a bit of a hit in the last month. I think what people need to have is a little perspective. If they want a five star hotel that is what they should book. If you’re booking the Howard Johnson “downtown” Sacramento, you’re looking for value and a deal. "Overall a nice stay. The hot breakfast had a variety of items and everything was good. I did notice on the weekend there was only 1 staff person working. Most of the food items were depleted. She had a hard time keeping up with the amount of people. The bed was comfy but it was hard to regulate the temp. I had it set at 66 and at times the heat would turn on. Strange.
