"The property is tired and dated and very noisy hearing most noises around the property, we had to turn the car park lights on at dusk from our room, very strange However found the staff very nice and helpful "

"Lovely people who were very helpful, kind and considerate. Whilst some of the breakfast staff’s English speaking skills were a bit limited, a willingness to understand by various means made our communication possible. For example like many places I've stayed at around the country, alternatives to cow’s milk are available, tho’ they are not always advertised or displayed and one has to think outside the box. "The room was small but had everything you could wish for. Tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, 2 irons, small fridge, etc. the heating was a little too warm for us but not too much. Lovely as you are almost in the centre of Brighton, close to the seafront so not too much walking to get where you want to go. "

"Small guest house very pleasant, helpful welcoming staff. The bed was lovely and clean with soft comfy pillows 3 each. Bed was soft. The room was perfect temperature & we slept well, felt safe and secure. It was so quiet. The bathroom is tiny but we coped fine it was only one night and we had plenty of nice towels. Kettle so we could have a cuppa. Just a stones throw from the beach. "

"The property was ok but the area was not great inside the property all night the neighbours in the property was shouting and making noise all night I did not get any sleep One of the worst night I stayed somewhere Did not feel safe leaving room as so much shouting from other rooms "

"Starlings was a wonderful place to stay in Brighton. It has a very convenient location for walking into the centre of town as well as the seafront. Melina and Julie are wonderful owners who were a great help during my stay and do a great job maintaining the rooms. My room was perfect. Highly recommended. "

"We booked with Seaside Hotel last minute as our other choice had double booked. I had to phone the owner for access code, he came to meet us 10 minutes later with a key to room and code for front door. Really friendly staff, Decor very dated. Bed comfy. We did have a basic double, very well priced, great location. Shower over bath was cold. Steep steps up to bathroom, sloping ceiling which husband cut his head on. "
