Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and area is convenient to public transportation, including to Italian mainland. Hotel is about as far as possible (and still be in Venice) from San Marco and is in a very old building.

This is a beautiful old hotel that is well kept and fairly quiet. It is right next to a church so the church bells do ring early in the morning. It is easy to find and has several restaurants and shops ( and gelato of course!!) nearby. The breakfast was good that came with the room and it has an elevator which is a plus in Venice. Room was safe and comfortable, but no stand up shower- only a tub with a shower attachment from the spigot.

Loved the location near the train station. Good breakfast. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Mateo at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. We had a standard room which was small but as we were only there for two nights it was fine. Lots of character.
