AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They said they'd refund me and then are refusing to honor the refund.
We arrived late on Saturday and was given a room that was in the middle of a remodel and unfinished, I asked to be moved and was given a room that did not lock. Finally we moved a third time to a room and were too exhausted to make a big deal. There were broken outlets, wires hanging out the walls, stained sheets with holes in them and a floor that looked like he hadn't been cleaned in weeks. We did not feel safe letting our infant loose in the room at all, even to touch the floor.
The building was run down. Metal railings covered in chipping paint and rust, and a parking lot is filled with shipping containers and piles of trash.
I wasn't expecting a baby-proofed suite, but a room that was clean and up to building code feels like a bare minimum. We went to the front desk in the morning and told them we were checking out early and would like a partial refund for the remainder of our stay. They initially refused, and then I pressed a little bringing up the safety issues for my child and the manager said okay, but because we paid through Expedia we needed to request the refund through them and they would contact the motel and the motel would approve the refund.
I thanked them and left to our new room. I then began the refund process, and Expedia told me that the motel refused the refund. I called the motel and they repeatedly hung up on me and forwarded me to voicemail.
