Our actual stay was great. The spa is a great feature of the hotel, and the communal feel reminded me of my younger years staying at hostels while backpacking. Our room was a good size for a couple. But our experience was sullied at the airport, after checking out, when we received a message that we were being charged the dollar equivalent of half a night’s stay because of some makeup stains on towels, towels that guests are tasked with washing, which we did. You can probably buy twice as many towels with that amount of money. We paid the fee, but it left a bad taste in our mouthed as we’ve never experienced anything like this at an Airbnb, let alone a hotel.

The hotel location is close to Metro, making it easy to get around by transit. The dining and activities in the immediate area are limited, however it is close to Place des Arts and Rue St Denis.
