"You don't absolutely need a car for Howzit Maui, but it's really helpful. The hostel arranges daily tours and activities, but if you don't make it onto the sign up sheet, then you need to make your own arrangements. There are plenty of people who have car rentals, so making alternate plans isn't a big deal. There are six shared bathrooms (with showers) and a seventh just for women. "It served as a safe harbor with a bed. That's all we were looing for. Hotels.com had the wrong address, so we had to call the hostel to find the location. A little less than we expected in terms of number of showers and toilets. Staff was friendly, and we met other travelers. Some tiny ants in the room near any food left outside the fridge."

"I was initially a little weary because of some of the poor reviews I read about this site, so I was very pleasantly relieved to have a very good experience here. "We stayed in the new tower. The room was very spacious and had lots of room for storage. It's a 5 min. Walk to the beach and ABC store there is a on site restaurant and two pools. We loved it and would stay again. "
